I heard today that Mars has withdrawn its latest UK ad for Snickers, featuring Mr T, after complaints that it was offensive to gay people. The ad is the follow-up to the first in the series which featured a football player getting a ‘bollocking’ off Mr. T. Check out the new advert here.

Manchester giant Love have launched their new site. First impressions: pretty damn hideous! Then I suppose it depends who they’re aiming it at specifically though. And let’s face it, a company like Love are one of many on today’s UK design scene who have built up enough of a solid reputation to basically ‘do whatever the hell they want’ no…? I would assume most of their new business doesn’t necessarily rest on the look of their website, it seems like they’ve done it just to keep us designers talking – and it’s working.

This advert for Specsavers, cribbed from the CR Blog is just awesome, and so simple. It sure makes a refreshing change to that tedious opera singer ad they’ve been running in this country (can some please turn the telly down…!). One you just have to watch to the end, it is however like eating your way through a box of Roses Chocolates – the first time is undoubtfully the best.
