The Radio One show’s podcasts are available on-demand for seven days after each broadcast, for all the individual programmes. Zane Lowe is the most recent addition to familiar noises in the studio. Talk about an eclectic mix!

Underworld, the guys behind Tomato arts collective (remember Trainspotting…?), have a live site which is worth a look just for the broadcasts. If your a member you can also download ‘The Book of Jam’, which shouldn’t be mistaken for a culinary guide. Its actually a PDF magazine containing all of their process-driven design work, writing and and photography. Have a butchers.
Drinkie-poos
May 23, 2008
As the bank holiday weekend approaches, the sun blazes through our studio windows (left wide open to savour the smell of freshly-cut grass outside) surely it’s only human to be start thinking about having a couple o’ drinkies…? I heard through the grapevine that the Darwen Music Festival (rave on) kicks off this weekend. My only excuse for attending will be to see, as an avid follower, my mates’ band The SnowByrds. So what would any free outdoor gig be without the obligatory bottle of Cider? Thats when this nifty little bit of design for a new cider brand called Breese, with a breezy orchard, caught my eye on the DieLine. They’re only available from Cash and Carry though, so I’d better get looking for the nearest.

Hard format is a nice blog which I just cribbed from Newstoday, showcasing graphic design for the music scene. The Audio Lab sleeve by Laurent Fetis is particularly cool.

Nice little piece of motion typography here, courtesy of Dave Lynch. I’ve seen dozens like it done in the same style, but this one I think particularly stands out because of the nifty little symbols and illustrations. Good to hear from you after all this time Dave, just keep sending these gems my way!

YETI London show on August 29, new LP and Japan tour
August 24, 2007
Yeti will be playing at the soon-to-be-destroyed Proud Gallery in Camden Stables Market on August 29. This will be Yeti’s first show as a four piece – John is now playing bass following Brendan’s departure – and the set will be a mix of new and old classics.
Tickets for Proud Gallery are now available here. Yeti will also be releasing their first LP “Yume!” in Japan on Vinyl Junkie. The record will include 12 tracks freshly mastered by Trutone NYC and the sleeve will feature artwork and photography by David Delamare and Michel Comte (and members of Yeti, naturally). The record release will be followed by a Japan tour in September, which will include appearances on MTV and shows in Kyoto, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Yokohama and Sapporo.
Tickets for Proud Gallery are now available here (more details on yetiintelligence.com).
