HealthTalk Event

TPW were drafted in at the last minute to design the branding and promotional print items for the recent HealthTalk event at King George’s Hall.

Passport to Health

Another job recently completed and delivered is this fold-out sheet containing vital personal and medical information about the owner. Designed for those with communication difficulties in need of help, we created a set of symbols to aid communication at all levels.NHS Passport to Health_01passport to health_03NHS Passport to Health_02passport to health_02NHS Passport to Health_03passport to health_01NHS Passport to Health_04

High flying student

TPW Design Consultants were pleased to provide a two week work placement to Liam Dargan of Blackburn, helping him to build towards an already promising future.

Liam had already worked on live briefs, and designed his own website, but found the experience of working in a busy design studio provided real life skills that can’t be gained alone or in a college environment.

Liam said “Two weeks in a professional studio environment at TPW Design Consultants has given me the advice, experience and confidence to work on my own creative design business and is already proving to be extremely effective. Not only have I been guided through the creative process, but also on the more business related elements such as how to quote a job accordingly and presenting my ideas to the client. I look forward to visiting them again in the future to gather more valuable insight into the creative world of work.” ImageImage

New Twitter logo

So, the Twitter bird logo has been updated, and will now apparently represent the whole twitter brand, with the bubbled text ‘twitter’ and lowercase ‘t’ being phased out. The old (top) and new (bottom) versions can be compared below, and I have to admit, the new version is a vast improvement, but using just a symbol on its own is a radical choice.

Font fun

Keeping timesheets during the day can be  laborious but necessary task. To keep ourselves entertained each morning, we’ve been changing the font in the headers every single day, and making sure we can find the most horrific, ugly and inappropriate font as possible. Any suggestions?

BCSC awards

The Mall Blackburn-TPWThe Mall Blackburn TPW

Having been shortlisted last year for ‘campaign of the year’, we are continuing our run of success by being shortlisted for another national award this year. Our campaign for The Mall Shopping Centre in Blackburn has been shortlisted for a BCSC Purple Apple Marketing Award.

TPW beat off strong competition to win the pitch to promote the launch of the newly refurbished £66 million Shopping Centre. The campaign concept not only promoted The Mall brand, but also highlighted the array of products and big name retail brands available within the shopping venue. TPW produced the initial concept, press advertising, shopping venue advertising, leaflets, t-shirts, radio advertisement and finished off by creating and art directing the TV commercial, all of which can be seen under ‘private sector work’ on our website.

The awards ceremony will take place in May this year, so fingers crossed!
