Urbis and D&AD proudly present a key note lecture from Peter Saville and Ben Kelly, two of the seminal designers responsible for creating a Manchester aesthetic which invaded the British high street in the mid 1980s. Its influence continues to be seen both there and across the world today.

The First European Poster Expo
Sat 20 & Sun 21 October

Europe’s leading creative poster artists rendezvous in Manchester for two days this October to exhibit, discuss and trade limited editions and originals of their work. Exhibiting artists include Nick Rhodes, Drew Millward, Luke Drozd, Graham Pilling, Mr Scruff, John Walsh, Nick Fry, Michael England, Airside, Glyn Smith,Chris Drury and Bear Hackenbush. Different techniques on display include screenprint, Giclee and Offset as well as linocut, which each in themselves is a work of art.
