Computer Arts sports it’s new cover (and editorial) design for the first time next month. I’ve always thought that the overall ‘look’ of CA mag was pretty tacky, and looked as if it was just aimed at mac geeks with a taste for superfluous, computer-generated aesthetics. I couldn’t help but slip a little smile then when I noticed the Sagmeister himself looking as miserable as usual on the debut, and commenting on the lack of substance in today’s computer-generated designs. I think this is especially quirky and a tad ironic, when the flood of graphics which dominate the design look as if they’re forcing him off the page. Maybe thats why he looks pissed? Quite controversial on the sly. On purpose? just maybe.
